Breaking: President Buhari accepts Kemi Adeosun's resignation
President Muhammadu Buhari has accepted the resignation of the Hon. Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun. In a statement released by the special assistant for President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, says the President thanked the Minister for her services to the nation and wished her well in her future pursuits.
The President also approved that the Minister of State Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, should oversee the Ministry of Finance with effect from today.

American rapper, 2 Chainz took to his Instagram page to celebrate buying his wife, Kesha Ward, a school and in the process, he threw shade at guys who are still buying handbags for their girlfriends.
Sharing a post of his wife celebrating the 2nd year anniversary of the school (A Gift From Heaven Academy), and also praising him for mentally preparing her with business and buying the school, the rapper wrote:

Oma Akatugba, a Nigerian football analyst who is now based in Germany just accused Davido of not 'going to school' and posing for photos in NYSC uniform.

The Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone ‘C’ Owerri, has intercepted a truck carrying bales of military wears illegally imported into the country by yet to be identified persons.
A mobile patrol team at the Onitsha, Anambra State, Head Bridge axis of the Federal Operations Unit Zone ‘C’ Owerri, on Friday, intercepted the truck with military hardware and medicament concealed within.
Justin Bieber to become a U.S. Citizen
Canadian singer, Justin Bieber has reportedly applied to become an American citizen and is set to hold dual citizenship for the U.S. and Canada.
According to TMZ, the 24-year-old singer who currently holds an O-1 Visa for “Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement” has applied for dual citizenship.
Justin who was born in Ontario, Canada but moved to Atlanta when he was 13 he will retain his Canadian citizenship, but he will become an American citizen as well.

Donald Trump invited people to pay $70,000 to have a photo with him
U.S. President Donald Trump is understood to have charged people $70,000 to have a photo with him at a campaign fundraiser at one of his hotels.
Guests could attend a private roundtable with the President of the United States for $100,000. But for those who only wanted dinner at the event at the Trump International Hotel in Washington DC on Wednesday night, it was reduced to $35,000.
Washington Post White House reporter Josh Dawsey tweeted a photo of the event invitation which highlighted the large costs. The money will go towards Trump Victory, a joint fundraising committee for the president’s 2020 presidential campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC).

Davido proposed to his longtime girlfriend on Instagram and she immediately replied his proposal.
The singer took to one of Chioma's recent photos to gush about how beautiful she looks. He then propositioned marriage to her. She replied in the affirmative.
Whether or not the proposal is real or a publicity stunt is left to be seen.

Sources reveal the rumoured couple dined alone in a private area. The sources also claim Drake and Bella "got cosy" during the dinner but left the restaurant separately.

Lagos Fire Service temporarily shuts down Ikorodu road as tanker falls and spills fuel
Earlier today, Ikorodu road in Lagos was temporarily closed as a tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit fell and spilled its content on the road.
The tanker, which fell at Kosofe area of Ketu caused a gridlock as Lagosians coming from Ikorodu were stuck on the road. Lagos State Fire Service announced the temporary closure of the road while advising road-users to make use of alternative routes.

Speaking from years of experience as both a student and a diplomat in the country, the former ambassador believes “what the Chinese need is food”.
To emphasize his point, Mr Demuyakor revealed that food is an essential part of the Chinese culture and that market ought to be sought after, instead of the natural resources Ghana is willingly battering for infrastructural development. “The Chinese do not need bauxite, they don’t gold or copper. The Chinese have all these natural resources in their country,” he revealed.
