Nigeria's Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun Resigns

Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has reportedly resigned from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. According to sources, Adeosun resigned over allegations that she forged her National Youth Service Corps certificate. However, the minister resumed in her office this morning and it is unclear when the reported resignation will take effect.

Adeosun had come under fire with several Nigerians, particularly on the social media, demanding investigations from the Federal Government into the allegations and calling for her resignation for presenting an alleged forged exemption certificate. The reports claimed that the finance minister, who did not participate in the one-year national youth service, allegedly forged an Exemption Certificate several years after her graduation.

According to him, 'this guy called Kaycee Oduche claims to be a producer for Squareball Films. He chatted my cousin up about a movie shoot coming up,she agreed and the next thing,he starts to preach sex to the girl whose just 19 after all when she denied him his request,he blocked her of whatsapp and Facebook. This practice needs to stop for God sake, trying to sleep with young girls in the name of blowing them'.

'Don’t allow PDP take Nigeria backwards' - President Buhari tells APC members

President Buhari has appealed to members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) not to be complacent but to prepare, strategise and win 2019 elections, to prevent the Peoples Democratic Party from taking Nigeria backwards.  

He made the appeal at the APC national Secretariat Wednesday in Abuja while submitting his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to contest the presidency in 2019. Although Buhari did not mention PDP in his short speech, the reference was unmistakable as he referred to those who ruled Nigeria between 1999 and 2015.

A fake doctor has been arrested for allegedly carrying out unauthorized medical diagnosis and treatment on patients in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The suspect, Ifetayo Olowolayemo was arrested by the task force officials of the Ondo State Ministry of Health during a monitoring exercise in the state.

He was alleged to have been admitting patients under the guise of operating a patent medicine store called, “Olowolayemo Excel Patent Medicine Store,” in Akure.

Bobrisky slams Nina again, calls her an ungrateful bast**d

The beef between formers pals, Bobrisky and BBNaija's Nina, is still far from over as both parties yet again slammed each other on Instagram.

The problem started after Tunde Ednut shaded Nina in a post on his Instagram page, for posing with her car key.

Covenant University scandal: Tables turn as female students accused of setup by expelled male student reply (screenshots)

Days ago, an expelled male university of Covenant University accused the school of framing him up and expelling him just before graduation. He went on to name some female students and accused them of the frame up. The female students have now replied and it's not what you'll expect. 

Emmanuel Adooh claimed Effanga Marilyn and Omotayo Dada helped the school's registrar frame him up . He took the school to court and SAN Falana was his lawyer. He eventually won the case and went on Twitter to expose the incident. 

Today, Omotayo Dada took to Twitter to release her side of the story after she and her family began receiving threats when the scandal went viral. Marilyn has also released her side of the story on Twitter and it corresponds with Omotayo's story.

They also claim they have audio evidence of Adooh confessing to the crimes not knowing he was being recorded. They also have screenshots of messages which they say they will release with time.

The Federal High Court has ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to pay the sum of N10.5 million as compensation to journalist, Jones Abiri, over his illegal detention for two years by the security agency.

At the resumed hearing today, Justice Nnamdi Dimg alt='Court orders DSS to pay N10.5m as compensation to journalist Jones Abiri who was illegally detained for two years' class='img-responsive text-center' style='margin: auto;'ba stated that the DSS did not deny arresting and detaining him since July 2016, denying him access to his doctors, family and friends.

'Oldest known drawing' found on tiny rock in South Africa

Scientists say they have discovered humanity's oldest known drawing on a small fragment of rock in South Africa. The drawing is about 73,000 years old, and shows cross-hatch lines sketched onto the stone with red ochre pigment. Scientists discovered the small fragment of the drawing - which some say looks a bit like a hashtag - in Blombos Cave on the southern coast.
