This decision was taken by the Prof Adebayo Ninolowo-led governing council after a meeting on Thursday to ratify the recommendations of the joint council/senate committee.

Also, the Council reportedly demoted two workers – an academic and non-teaching staff, for allged misconduct.
However, the two main casualties of the decision are the ASUU-LASU chairman, Isaac Oyewunmi, who is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education, and his vice, Adebowale Adeyemi-Suenu, who is the head, Department of History and International Studies, The Sun reports.
