The woman accusing Nelly of rape is ready to make the whole thing — including her allegations — go away. She does not want to testify.
According to TMZ, the woman’s attorney, Karen Koehler, said her client wants the Washington authorities to “put a halt to the criminal investigation of [Nelly]. She will not testify further in a criminal proceeding against him.”
Koehler went further to say that the alleged victim feels that the system failed her by refusing to stand up for her, that she cannot stand up to a celebrity without getting harmed.
“Who will believe her?” the attorney asked. “People are saying horrible things already. She cannot handle this. She is about to break.”
Reacting to this update, Nelly’s attorney Scott Rosenblum, slammed the accuser for making a “reckless accusation, once investigated thoroughly, was exposed for what it was–a fabrication. A fabrication that has caused Nelly and his family to suffer emotionally and financially.”
Rosenblum went ahead to say that the rapper’s family and team are not satisfied with the accuser’s withdrawal, and they are insisting she must apologise to them. The upset attorney added that he will not hesitate to get Nelly to file a lawsuit against the woman if she fails to apologise.
This surprising update comes almost a week after the unnamed woman alleged that Nelly raped her without a condom in his tour bus after they partied together, an allegation the rapper expressly denied.
