Lindsay Lohan’s “Grand Theft Auto 5” Lawsuit Got Rejected By Appeals Court

Lindsay Lohan sued Rockstar Games a couple of years back for allegedly using her likeness in one of their hyper-popular Grand Theft Auto games. The court eventually asked the bailiff to escort Lindsay’s case out of the courtroom. That defeat didn’t cause the fresh face of the Dubai tourism board to just give up. She appealed the ruling, claiming that Rockstar (and their parent company Take-Two Interactive) invaded her privacy by modeling a character named “Lacey Jonas” on her freckled visage. Unfortunately, according to the BBC, six judges at New York state’s Court of Appeals unanimously stamped “NOPE!” on her appeal.
Since 2014, Lindsay has been claiming that the actress/party girl character in one of Grand Theft Auto V’s minor challenges is modeled after her likeness, former career, and the travails of her jet-setting life full of suspect boyfriends, shady business ventures and inspiring linguistical puzzlement. I don’t see LiLo’s likeness in Lacey Jonas, but I’ve had the “ignore this crazy liar” filter over my eyes now for several years where she’s concerned. The judges agreed.

“[The] artistic renderings are indistinct, satirical representations of the style, look and persona of a modern, beach-going young woman… that is not recognisable as plaintiff,” Judge Eugene Fahey wrote in his ruling.

Neither the celebrity burkini model or Rockstar Games is commenting.

“I’m modern! I go to the beach! I’m always at the beach! Granted, by the beach, I mean “working at an outcall massage yacht orgy” but it’s pretty much still the beach,” Lindsay probably raged at her lawyers in the UBER back to Dina’s house after the ruling.
